Rosalia

Rosalia Vila is a Spanish flamenco and pop singer. Since she was a teen she was involved in both the traditional and popular music. However, her singing interests have broadened to encompass soul and hip-hop. Pepe Habichuela, a flamenco guitar player with a lot of talent, describes her voice as one that was sweet and had an old-fashioned sound. El Mal Querer, her sequel album to Los Angeles in 2017, was both a critical as well as a commercial success. The album topped Billboard's Latin Pop Albums Chart and won a Grammy. La Fama, featuring The Weeknd, was released in 2021. It was her third studio album. Motomami offered songwriting collaborations with numerous producers and artists including Cory Henry and James Blake. The album was released in 2022 as a result of a Saturday Night Live appearance by the famous singer Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia was the very first Spanish artist to appear alone on the popular program. In addition to winning three more Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia also became the first female to be awarded this award twice. Latin Album of the Year twice.
