Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He's made major inroads globally to Latin pop. Una Lady Como Tu, the song that he released in 2016, received the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Best Song. The singer released his first long-player ADN to the local Sony distributor in Medellin La Industria Inc. The album peaked at the top of the charts, number 8 on the Top Latin Albums chart. The following year, he collaborated with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca which reached number five on the Top Latin Albums chart. Mala Influencia is his collaboration with Noriel in the year 2020. Following that season, Dopamina became his second album. In 2021, he sang an duet with TINI's popular track Maldita Foto. 2000 which included the smash hit La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo is from an instrumental background. Both his elder brother and mother also play music. In interviews, he referred to the importance of music as a requirement. He was taught how to play guitar, saxophone ukulele, and piano as an infant. Although he initially wanted to be veterinarian, Julian convinced him that having lessons from a Cuban music teacher could change the direction of his profession.
